IIT works closely with Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK in their vital research, techniques and treatments so they can make a positive difference to the lives of those affected by head and neck cancer.
Head and neck cancer is one of the fastest growing cancer types with 17000 cases in the UK yet is only receiving 2% of research funding. Oracle Head & Neck Cancer is the UK’s national leading charity solely dedicated to funding research into head and neck cancer. Their pioneering research, led by some of the world’s leading authorities has resulted in breakthroughs showing if the HPV virus is the main cause. With 90% effective vaccine available, but uptake is low. IIT is assisting Oracle to get the message out.
