Justice & Care

Committed to joining forces to end modern slavery
IIT is committed to joining forces to end modern slavery, freeing men, women and children who have been trafficked and brutally exploited in slavery and empower them to rebuild their lives.
Almost 50 million people live as slaves today. IIT and Justice & Care are committed to fight the crime - protecting communities, supporting survivors, pursuing those responsible and creating change at scale.
The Victim Navigator programme, which IIT supports, was created in response to shockingly low conviction rates and operates to ensure traffickers are brought to justice, and prioritise survivor care. More than 93% of survivors engage with the criminal justice process with a Victim Navigator; compared to less than half engaging without a Navigator.
Over the past five years, Navigators have supported over 600 survivors with highly complex needs and seen over 50 exploiters convicted, with many more in the pipeline. IIT is committed to funding the victim navigator programme in London.
